Chinese-American soprano Veronica Mak, based in New York City, is equally passionate and fulfilled in the fields of operatic, choral, and contemporary repertoire.
Recent operatic credits include Knightly News! (Pyg) by Jonathan Stinson and The Old Maid and the Thief (Laetitia) with Delaware Valley Opera. Other additional credits include Rigoletto (Gilda) and The Medium (Monica) with Regina Opera, Bastien und Bastienne (Bastienne) with Garden State Opera, Albert Herring (Nancy) with Manhattan School of Music, Gianni Schicchi (Lauretta) and L’enfant et les sortilèges (L’enfant).
Ms. Mak thoroughly engages with concert solo work, ranging from classical repertoire such as Mozart Requiem Brahms‘ Deutches Requiem, Schubert’s Mass No. 2 in G, and Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb to contemporary works in solo showcases with Fresh Squeezed Opera.
Ms. Mak received her Master of Music & Bachelor of Music degrees from the Manhattan School of Music for Classical Voice/Opera, where she was the recipient of the Margaret Hoswell van Der Marck Scholarship in Opera.
