Tenor Ryan Chavis is excited to be joining EnsembleNYC in performance for the first time. Recent solo and operatic performances include productions Lucia di Lammermoor (Edgardo & Arturo), La Traviata (Alfredo, cover), Gianni Schicchi (Rinuccio) and La bohème (Rodolfo) at the Mediterranean Opera Festival in Caltagirone, Sicily, The Cunning Little Vixen (Pasek/Ensemble), Orpheus In The Underworld (Ensemble), and principal performances in scenes from Die Fledermaus (Eisenstein), The Copper Queen (Theodore) and The Long Walk (Ricky) at the Manhattan School of Music. Ryan is also a passionate concert and choral musician, most recently making their Lincoln Center debut as a proud member of the newly formed New York Philharmonic Chorus, and has also been featured as the tenor soloist in Zohar (Leshnoff) with the NYC Master Chorale, and Magnificat (Durante) with MUSE Ensemble.
Ryan is a recent graduate of the Manhattan School of Music (M.M. ’23). They continue their study of voice under the instruction of renowned tenor Gioacchino LiVigni.
