Ruston Ropac


Soprano Ruston Ropac brings her artistry to contemporary chamber music, early music, opera and beyond. An alumna of the Contemporary Performance Program at the Manhattan School of Music, she has given the world premieres of over forty new works of chamber music. She is the featured soloist on the BlackBox Ensemble’s debut recording, Elegy. Her recent work includes creating the role of Princess Bendova in Jed Bolipata’s new opera The Wages of Sin, singing as soloist with Melodia Women’s Choir, Ember Choral Arts, and the Albany Symphony’s contemporary sinfonietta Dogs of Desire, and traveling to New Haven, Connecticut to perform new chamber music with New Music New Haven and medieval music at the Leitner Observatory.

Fun Fact

In 2024, Ruston arranged O viridissima virga by Hildegard of Bingen for SSA vocal trio, organ, and string quartet, and performed as soloist in the world premiere with Melodia Women's Choi
