Brahms Requiem

February 9, 2019

Brahms chose his own texts and set it in the language of his people in order to bring comfort to those who have lost loved ones, demonstrating that sorrow can be turned into joy, giving hope in the midst of struggle. EnsembleNYC performed the 4-hand piano chamber version with pianists Vanessa May-lok Lee and Tom Jennings and soloists Maggie Woolums and Andrew Jurden.

This concert’s charitable focus was the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. To find out more about how you can contribute to this worthy cause, please go to www.afsp.org.
